Allahabad, Jun 14 (PTI) Recalling its order staying the
recruitment process of police constables, the Allahabad High Court
today ruled the Uttar Pradesh government could go ahead with
the exercise but keep one seat vacant.
On June eight, the Court had stayed the implementation of the
results of tests conducted for recruitment of 35,000 police
constables in the state.
The High Court had stayed the process while hearing a petition
filed by Anuj Dhama, a resident of Meerut, who had alleged he
had failed in the written test due to errors in the question paper.
Justice Bala Krishna Narayana today said the state government
could go ahead with the recruitment process but keep one seat
vacant.
The recruitment for this vacancy should be subject to the final
verdict, he said.
